Finally got around to watching the season opener and she actually cut her own hair on screen after she freed herself from her captor.

Well, a few years ago it would have been time for a complete chop--so this is preferable. Should grow out quickly.

     For me, Mariska becomes more beautiful with each extra inch of hair. So, cuts are always a disappointment. Sleepy

I have to agree, too. She has a noticeably wide face shape and the longer styles  help balance it out better, I think.

She actually looks pretty good with any length hair...I also thought the short cut looked good but new cut probably works best for her.

Yes, saw it on Yahoo where she also spoke about how she was nearly sacked after getting the really short cut several years ago.

From wireimage the photos in Sept show her having hair that is still quite long.  Maybe not as long as it was before her big chop 3+ years ago, but close.

I'm not sure when her show is taped, but these were taken at two events in May. We agree, Mike: Mariska looks her best when her hair is longer.
