Yepppppp today I went to the salon and got my formerly-blonde-dyed-brown hair dyed back to blonde. He ended up bleaching it TWICE, then adding toner, and highlights. Then he lopped off the damaged ends and gave a little more shape..it all took around 3 1/2 hours..I was so tired by the end. The good news..he's straight, adorable, and really likes me!! I gave him my number with his tip.
He originally said it would be $155 but when it came time to pay he was like $85. I didn't know what to say but I still gave him a $20 tip haha..
The best part of it all? He had some extra pink hair dye and he thought 1 streak of it would look cute so we did it and it looks cool.
It's a little difficult to compare since the "before" picture, your hair was secured on top of your head.
However, obviously, your opinion is the only one that matters. Having said that, though, for what it's worth, I think that your new color and style are simply fabulous! The color really is quite beautiful and the style very much flatters your lovely face, in my opinion. As for styling, the possibilities are nearly endless. But I do like the way you have it now -- it's a glamorous, sophisticated but never stuffy style. It looks like fine silk and kind of begs for fingers to run through it, which I think is an important criteria for gorgeous hair. Some hairstyles are beautiful, and some are sexy. I think you're fortunate, because yours falls in both categories.
The color is really beautiful and it looks natural as well. The lighting in the photos is rather low so it's hard to tell how it compares to your original color, but it looks like the stylist knew what he was doing. I like the cut as well...healthy and lively!

Wow! It (the cut and the color) looks good on you. I don't know much about hair color but it looks like its got depth. Sometimes people color their hair and its like one big glob of the same color all over. Yours doesn't look like that at all. Yours looks like variations of blonde which makes it look more natural. Congratulations!

The lighting isn't that good, but from what I can tell, your hair looks great! It's also really brave having such a dramatic hair change, so congrats on that also.
Thanks Yeah I had never gotten my hair bleached, and a few times it got so painful (like when they put the toner on) that I was considering backing out..but that's just because I have a very low pain tolerance.
The "most brave" (is that correct..I don't think so) thing I did was the pink streak. I go to a very strict conservative Catholic school, so I'll have to get rid of it come September. He said I have such thick hair that he could just cut it out..but that makes me reaaaaaaaaally nervous. Cutting my hair scares the spit out of me..he ended up cutting off 2 inches or so.
Hmm..question for the masses: My hair is thick..and the pink streak is not visible unless I tuck my hair behind my ear..so could he really cut it out without anyone being able to tell theres a hunk of hair missing?

Looks great.. have you thought about jumping on the bangs band wagon...I think they would look great on you....as for cutting out the pink streak...maybe, depends on how big the chunk is.. I would think he could just put some darker toner on it or bleach it again
have you thought about jumping on the bangs band wagon...I think they would look great on you....
I had bangs from about age 4-12 and I remember them being a total pain to grow out..so I would probably go for long bangs if I got them..the kind you sweep to the side.
Another thing that concerns me is that he said I don't need to dye it again for 3-4 months..but my hair grows soooooo fast..and the dark brown on light light blonde is not gonna look great but oh well.

Hi... I LOVE your color. I have my hair professionally highlighted and lowlighted every 8 weeks and it looks much better than when I was trying to attempt it myself. My color is very similar to yours.
I also love your cut!! I had my hair past my shoulders, and got it cut last month into a razored bob, and I don't like it at all. I have had bobs before (layered works best for my hair as I have A LOT of hair) but never razored--and it makes my thick, healthy hair look thin and damaged. Don't make my same mistake :)
Can you please describe your cut in detail for me--that is what I am going for. You say you have a lot of up front layering--do you have it layered in the back too? Are your layers in the front from the chin down? What did you ask for when you went in for a cut? I asked for "long layers" the haircut before this last one and it looked sort of outdated...it just did not feel stylish. It is hard to get your point across with words, you know?
