We now have human hair and synthetic prebond extensions! Plus clip in synthtic feathers!
Longer than other typical feathers, each strand is 16 inches – great for
long hair styles or custom cut to the length desired. For the fashion forward animal lovers out there, these feathers are 100% vegetarian, vegan, and cruelty free!

Silly question but I was under the impression hair feathers were no longer popular? They seem to have lost that dazzle they had this summer. Or maybe because the market was flooded with options?
I see that HairUWear is advertising vegan hair feathers in Star Magazine. I was surprised by that since I thought feathers were over.
I still see them everywhere! They may die down a bit in the winter, at least the brighter colors, but they will be back for the spring and summer in full force.
Hi DoctoredLocks, I also sell feather extensions and I work with the farmers that produce them- not only so that we get access to the best stuff, but also because I like to know where exactly our supply is coming from.We sell natural feathers, and I hope this trend comes back strong next year. That's all predicated on the fact that I think it is ok to eat meat and use animal products. Wearing feathers in your hair is not much different than putting on cute leather shoes...is it?Style is the whole package. If it is fur and feathers, than it is definitely not fleece and nylon. What I am saying is, there is no need to insinuate somebody's style is based on cruelty, especially when it is really just mainstream.
It is true that the chickens are euthanized before their feathers are harvested, but this is after they have lived a very long and relatively pampered life.
Does that make it cruel?
If you want to be a vegetarian, that is just your style. If you want to wear nylon and pleather...Well, same thing.
There are many that do live plucking... and the roosters are raised for a year just to get the long saddle feathers. The rest of the rooster is wasted. It's not sustainable and
According to an article on eccorazi.comIt’s
gotten so out of hand that at least one farm in Western Colorado is now
killing up to 1,500 roosters per week just for their backside “saddle”
feathers.
That's a whole lot of senseless killing for the sake of fashion.

Agreed with DoctoredLocks. There are other ways to go about fashion. Fashion is endless with creativity and imagination. Synthetic is better than using an animal for only one thing, leaving the rest for waste. Its not always about being a vegitarian rather being humane and not agreeing with waste of an animals life for a few bucks.
