Michelle may be unique among celebs because she looks beautiful with short hair and blah with long hair.

I agree the long hair pic above is a bit "blah". Not sure if this is inevitable in her case: the grow out will let us know.

Anyway, there's also Carey Mulligan.

That is really just about the best picture I have seen of her with long hair. That picture is great but most of the time it was stringy, thin and just not worn well. I really like her with short hair but she has had it too short and too blonde lately in a way that lacked softness.
