i ahve recently heard of a product called wet to straight..i guess it looks and works like a straightner but you just run it through your wet hair and it becomes dry and straight without using a blowdryer. Has anyone tried this? i think i might want to try it...

cant be that good for your hair. you MUST not use any type of iron on wet hair. the heat will cause the water in the hair to evaporate, and that will cause pressure to build up inside your hair, and then.................KABLAMo.............the hair explodes. not to pretty is it?
FYI there are about 4 companies out with this right now and you can get it at Target and Bed Bath and Bynd. I first heard of it last time I got my hair done at the salon and the claim is that it is actually safer on your hair because it uses one step to dry and straighten instead of two - blowdrying and THEN straightening. My sister in law has one and uses it ALL the time because she has very coarse, wavy hair and it works great for her, but I used it on my stick straight hair and it didn't dry or straighten it. When she would do there would be a lot of steam coming from the straightener, but nothing happend when I did it. Guess it depends on the hair...
This is because I can spell konfusion with a K It's hard to like it It's to dying in anothers arms And why i had to try it... - Something Corporate "Konstantine"
I'm new and I'm from Italy. I have the wet2straight. It's safe because it dries with ions sealing cuticles when they are closed (on wet hair). you have to pass the iron on your hair only 2 or 3 times, and there are holes to let steam come out. It makes hair shiny and soft (and straight)

Wet 2 Straight are eeeevil! I used to straighten and blowdry my hair every day and because I had course hair there was no splitting but as soon as I used Wet 2 Straight, my hair started splitting and breaking. Now I don't straighten my hair at all really but if I do, I make sure it's dry when I do. They're really not worth the bother.

Yes they claim it is actually better because you dry in one step instead of two. Well of course they will tell you that, they want to sell their product. Do not get it! It will seem to work great at the begining but it will eventually destroy your hair. The damage will be severe. Any good stylist knows that. And no, it is not safe because it has ions. Yes ions are great to help seal the cuticle and keep hair looking smooth. But they are no match for the damage that a wet to straight iron will cause. Please do not believe all the monbo jumbo that the manufactures will write on their products packaging. They need to sell. And if you don't self educate you'll find out the hard way that it is bull.
