I searched but couldnt find what Im looking for.

What are the different types of perm? my hair is fine and has been subjected to quite a bit of colouring, but nothing too drastic. Still it is probably not in that great condition. Is there a perm I could get? I DONT want proper full on curls, just some light wavy ones or the like. It is the volume I want. I hate having to style it so much.

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

I could be wrong about this since I'm not a perm expert (I haven't had one since I was 13), so others correct me if I'm wrong....but I think the only big differences between types of perms is the size of the roller used. If you use smaller rollers, you get a tighter perm, bigger rollers will give you bigger waves. You can also put your rollers in horizontally and rolled from the back, or vertically for the spiral perm. Have you had a perm before, so you know they work on your hair?
