This is primarily aimed at those women who don't want to be judged strictly by thier hair:I will try not to sound too harsh, but what did you expect when you posted a message on a 'long hair' web site?A great majority of the men that post messages or read the messages are(at the minimum) long hair fans if not downright fetishists[sic]. Being one of these 'people', it would be nearly,if not totally impossible, to 'chop' that part out of any personal ad, much less a relationship.Instead of looking at it negatively("he's only interested in my hair"), you could look at it as a powerful drawing force that is an area of common ground. If you are proud of your hair, wouldn't you like to meet someone that at the minimum shares your interest. If any of these guys are like me, they do delve into the whole person. Ultimately, however, it is up to you depending on what you want.Well, I'm gonna stop here before I offend everyone.FWIW,LJ
HiI just read your post and I think maybe you misunderstood what has been happening on this forum. Women, including me, have just recently started posting here. Women have not posted and then been upset that they were judged for their hair. This was not the issue at all as your post seemed to point out. What has been happening is that women were unsure about posting on this board because they didn't want to be "just long hair".I think we have all gotten past that and the majority of the postings are looking for the entire package...although there is not denying that long hair is something that the posters are attracted to...just like some women are attracted to beards and mustaches and tall men.Yes...some men are into the hair fetish part. But many men are not...they just find long hair attractive. As long as they let women know that...it is cool. If a man is into it for the fetish...he should put that in his post so everyone knows where everyone stands. Then woman can choose to respond or not.At this point I think the majority of us on this board are not looking at this in a negative way at all...but in a realistic and practical way.Jeff & Karen (especially Karen) are working hard to make this a very cool new concept for both men and women. I appreciate it.I think this forum is past this and on to meeting new people.Too Shy To Post But Reading All The PostsSarah

Sarah,You are absolutely on the mark. But if I were a woman I'd be even more reluctant to post here than you are! Too many posts around here show evidence of obsessive behavior waiting for someone to attach it to. Be aware that a good number of men would rather not be associated with some of the more extreme elements and might choose to contact you in a different way than posting among these elements. :)-Scott> I just read your post and I think maybe you> misunderstood what has been happening on this> forum.
