HUGE step.......for me, should I???

I am really worried. I have straight long thick waist length hair. I want it cut but want to pretty much keep the length.

I was thinking.......four layers, shortest at my shoulder, and two more layers after that. Does this sound good? How do i explain it to the hairdresser?

I keep my hair tied up in a low ponytail a lot so would this still look good if i layered?

Please help and any suggestions would be apprecaited as im worried yet want to proceed with this look.

Yes, you should cut your hair. But not long with layers. Chop it off, long hair is out. It is a little girl thing, most should grow out of it. You should cut it to your shoulders and do layers or even shorter for a sexier look. Good luck.

uck, long hair on guys is nottttt cool...i think you should cut it of especially if you hair line is thining. just go get a normal hair cut.

Um, people, I think you are missing the point, this is a Girl, not a Guy!!!! Well, I obviously can`t tell you what you should do because it is your decision but I had hair quite similar to yours, waist length, thick and straight, which I had always had at least that long (I am 16) Anyway, about a month ago I had it cut to about shoulder length with some layers and and it looks really good. It is a bit scary actually having it done and it takes a while to get used to but I like it now.

I think Harvy has already hacked her hair, if I remember one of the other threads correctly (Long Hair Support). I know she ignored my advice. Oh well.

ok i cant give you real advice till i know if your a guy or a girl! lol... some are sayin your a guy and others are sayin your not. *confused*. If your a girl, i think the haircut u suggested sounds good, but if your a guy, LONG HAIR IS SO 80`S! I`m thinkin cut it short, but not too short. Like to your chin or ears. Reply back, i need to know at least what gender you are! lol.
