Hi! It sounds like alot of you are into long hair, but I was just wondering if anyone here is interested in short hair on women, like crops or maybe even (feminine) buzzes??I have a chinlength bob but am seriously thinking of getting a clippercut but wantd some support from others before I did it!! I think I would love it, though because my hair feels so long for me now. Thank you, linda
Hi Linda,There are many sites dedicated to various short-hair styles. Personally, I like all styles. Some women look better with longer hair, some with shorter. Ultimately, you have to please yourself. And, of course, it always grows back (well, ... usually). ;-)Short hair can be fun to play with in its own way.(support, support, support)--Bruce> Hi! >Linda, if you decide to get a clipper buzz cut,you shouldhave a long hair wig to wear,in case you end up,not likingthe haircut. Linda, how fast does your hair grow? I knowof two ladies in my town, that got clipper cuts, but bothladies had very fast growing thick hair. If you have slowgrowing hair, you will have to live with the result ofbuzz cut for a long period of time. Think about having long hair wig on standby,if you get a buzz cut. If you do not like the buzz cut, then you can put on a long hair wig. What is the feeling you have about your hair? Do you thinkyour hair is a troublesome appendage,to be buzzed off withclippers,or would consider growing your hair even longeras a pretty, brilliant, and beautiful treasure of yourfemale identity. Think of how much enhancement your longhair might provide for you. How short do you want tobuzz your hair? Do you want to buzz it down to one ortwo inches? It appears that you might think of your longhair as a troublesome appendage,to be buzzed off. Do youfeel a lot of anxiety and stress about a buzz haircut? If you have a lot of anxiety, about your buzz haircut, then you should forget the buzz haircut, and grow yourhair longer. How much enhancement do you think your long hair provides? Will your hair grow back fast, after it is buzzed?
Why do you constantly repeat the same sentences in a single post? And why do you insist that every woman with short hair needs a wig? You might try looking outside yourself for a change and realize that not everyone in the world thinks like you do.
I like short hair or long hair on women. Each woman must decide for herself what she wants in a hairstyle. Some feminine buzzes look great on the right woman. I would support whatever decision you make on your hairstyle. It is your hair, and you must live with it, and like it. Just don't allow a consensus of opinion to sway whatever you want to do. If you are seriously thinking of getting a clippercut, go for it and wear the style with confidence.> Hi! Thank> you, linda-------------Linda,Here is one site that I think is excellent for short hair ideas. http://members.tripod.com/rokstedy/short.htm I don't know who runs the site but I check it every week. Click on the past favorites. As you probably have noticed there are definite strong opinions on this chat site. I am a guy who prefers short hair on ladies. In MY OPINION, it takes a special women with special features to go "super" short (i.e. Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron...)though there are many styles that are short and look great on a variety of women. I think that we get stuck in styles and encourage change. How do you know if you will like something unless you do it. Good Luck!
The last thing you need is to go for any style just because people around you say so. A visit to the salon can be an intimidating experience. Find a salon that looks friendly. Go talk to the stylist and find out what he or she thinks would look good on you and is suitable for your hair. Take your time; if you dont feel good about the salon or the advice, dont be afraid to leave again. Thats quite ok! And when you finally sit down in the chair and they wrap that cape around you, relax and enjoy. Start thinking about the looks youll get once you walk out of teh shop. Remember, any one can grow their hair; it takes guts to go for a nice short cut! Let us know what happened

> David, you need to change the last sentence.Your sentence should read: Any lady can cut her hair,it takes seconds to fall, and years to grow.it takes a long time and patience to grow a ladies hairback out. There are some of ladies on this hairboardwho all ready had a short haircut, and are now waitinga very long time to grow it back to long hair.At Catwalk Salon Websitethere is a sign about ladies hair, which says minutes to fall, and then years to grow.

What's the difference between a crop and a pixie? From what I can tell, they're both about the same. I'm kind of leaning towards the Charlize really super cute cut. I'm average height and fairly thin with small facial features, so I think it would look good. Thanks for your really nice support!! I've been reading more of this forum, and I was afraid I'd get flamed for wanting to cut my hair!

I've been reading more of> this forum, and I was afraid I'd get flamed for> wanting to cut my hair!Linda,Of course Charlize Theron has worn many hairstyles. The hairstyle I think you are talking about is a crop, her hair is ultra short (layered around 2" to 2 1/2" on the top) with short sides (tapered from about 1/2" up to 1"). It is difficult to explain the difference between a pixie and crop, but bangs are usually longer on a pixie to top of eyebrows. On a crop bangs are cut near the hairline are usually short. Also the crop is just a bit shorter than the pixie. A picture is worth a thousand words. Go to www.hairdos.com; view dark blonde, ultra short styles; and view style no. 0481(short crop), and 0427(long pixie) then you can see what I am talking about. Really the styles, as you say, can be very similiar, and both are ultra short hairstyles. I hope you enjoy the new haircut, and let us know what you think afterwards.
Dear Linda,I cannot support your decision to be shorthaired. I believe you should let your hair grow long and leave it that way.DAVID, Esquire> Hi! Hi, Linda! I guess I'm entering this conversation a little late. However, I can relate. I have almost worn every style possible . . . change is fun and refreshing (My husband like my changes, too.) I currently sport a style similar to Natalie Raitano's (Nicki on V.I.P.), which is similar to Charlize Theron's. I love it (and so does my husband). I have found that ultra short hair looks best with subtle features (small nose, small ears, etc.). However, I admit, I have seen exceptions to this rule. How would you describe your features? What kind of style do you have now? I say go for it! Let us know what you decided, and how it turns out.

Well, Linda, it is up to you of course. My opinion however is this: the longer the better. But if you want to buzz your hair so you look like a male marine, go ahead, I just don't particularly think it is feminine at all. But it's your hair.
