Hello,

My current hairtstlye and face shape is like this:

And I was looking to do something like this:

I wanted to get that same dry, yet spiky look (ofcourse, pulling off the just outta bed look). If I apply gels and anything else, I can *try* to get that look, but it looks wet.

My hair gets slighty curly/wavy once it reaches a specific length, and from then on... that grown part curls a little, and making it stand as a spike gets difficult. Now, if I cut my hair, I won't be able to get this style.. but then, I'd need to since I'd need it to stand straight.

Don't know what/how to do anything.
If anyone's willing to help, please tell of a procedure, involving products available in Canada (Toronto if possible.)

Thanks I.A.

I have fine, wavy hair. Try L'oreal Radical glue (available in any drugstore) on towel-died hair(not to dry either). Make sur to get fibers when u work the product in ur hands (by "clapping" them). I works well for me, giving me the wanted look with a dry finish.
Otherwise, relax ur hair.

Thanks rafikz. I tried to do something, but I don't know if it came out right, especially the top fade.

But here: this is what I look like now.

I still want to try out that stlye Brad Pitt did, and the picture of him is posted a coupla posts above. But I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it now.

Either ways, with this haircut, are there any other hairstyles that can be done? Thanks.

I've tried to get my hair like that too in the past. I don't know what the hell they used for the guy's hair to make it look as though there wasn't any product in it, but I haven't been able to duplicate it very well. The first time I got it like that was after I had gone to bed without washing some hairspray out of my hair. I woke up and my hair looked pretty nice and dry. The best way to try and do this might be to just use a little hairspray, let it dry, and then later with dry hands try messing it up again. It will look softer. It might work for you, but it will still be tough to get it to look just right.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Finally, there's someone out there who doesn't make it look like they know how to do it, and when I do it.. it all looks different!

Anyways, yes. I've actually, since I started with hairstyling products, never washed them off before going to sleep. So, I have noticed that when I wake up I see some nice styles.

The only problem is I start my day with a nice shower, AND a head shampoo, because both of them together give me a "fresh" day feeling. ;-)

But come on, there HAS to be someone who knows how to do this shiyat!

Still waiting. I think The Dude is waiting too.

hmmm your hair need to be naturally straight as in it does not curl at all, for you to do this style. if it curls a bit, then get a flat iron and iron out those curls before you apply hair products. i think brad pits stylist uses a very high quality pomade or wax for that hard yet dry look. try american crew, redken or sabastian wax/pomade. you can always experiment with the stuff they sell in salons. it might be expensive but it will produce better results.

well you hair must be dry for that style. take a quarter size wax/pomade/fibregel rub it between your fingers and apply to hair. style the hair the way you want it. then take a pea size amount of the product, rub it together and apply to parts of hair that you want to spike up or stand out a bit. it works easier with poker str8 hair.

wow, I did the flat iron thing, and it almost worked.

I didn't do the BP style, but I just spiked 'em up, and applied some hairglue to the tip of the hair.

And after trying out a bit, I think I can try doing the BP style too.
