I WANNA MIMIC THIS HAIRSTYLE!! HELP!!

hey people, well heres the deal...im 18, i have naturally straight blak hair (or dark, dark dark dark brown..lol) as i let my hair grow out it is still very straight and will only tend to SLIGHTY curl at the bak if not maintained...i have been told alot that i somewhat resemble charlie simpson from the punk band "busted". I have been observing this dudes hair and he is currently sporting a long textured and messy hairstyle bleached blonde all over (his natural hair colour is dark brown), i am thinkign of mimicing this style but dont know how to go about doign it, his hair looks very thin and when he jumps around while playign guitar his hair appears to be very very straight and thin and messy all over and long, now i rekon i can pull this off as my hair is heeps straight (bout 97% straight), and as to combat the SLIGHT curls i was thinkign of getting a hair straightener...i will post my pic now with my hair and charlie simpsons current pic to show u wot sort of style i wanna acheive....any comments or suggestions people??

yeh thats me in the pic on the left, charlie has his hair long and layered all ova with the bangs across his face and the sides of his hair sticking out (wings i believe)
