I'm not sure what the exact brand is but I think it was from Matrix. Anyhoo, it's lightened up a bit but I'm still enjoying it. Feels funny not being a light blonde though. I hid behind it and used it to my advantage with the men (only on certain occasions) but I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

I'm curious about the darkener too....your hair sounds lovely and is exactly what I would attempt if/when I venture back into the world of hair color!

Hi Spaci,

No I think you read us correctly, your answer was right on. I'm so glad you like your new color! It sounds lovely and not too dark for you. Isn't it a great feeling to have a new hair style or color that you just love?

Do you know the brand name of the new darkening color?
Thanks!

Well welcome you two. You're talking to the queen of filter. My job requires interacting with many people and so sometimes I forget to actually talk to my clients. The conversation gets done in my head and then I skip to some question that they have no idea what topic I'm on. Maybe I multi task a little too much. Anyhoo, my hair is a medium to dark blonde but it lightens up fairly easy. The summer its white. I just got tired of looking so washed out so I went to my lovely hairdresser and gave her an ultimatium. She would never do it before because she thought it was too dark and I wouldn't like it. Shes seen and fixed all my "home experiments". So now I'm a medium golden brown with some blonde highlights. She used this new line of dyes that are made to darken hair and I was actually the first one she tried it on. I know I'm so brave. Don't know how long i'll keep it but its been fun seeing people do double takes and not recognize me. I've been a light blonde since the day I was born. Maybe next month i'll go red.
You can come use my hairdresser if you're ever in the midwest. She knows how to fix any accident.

Oh Elissa I can top that...during high school I was famous for my ability to filter out entire sentences such as "Please clear the table," "Check your oil," and "Don't you still owe me for last week's trip to Target?"

I think Spaci went brown, as she wrote in her post :-)

What shade brown did you go with?

Staci, what color did you change to? What product did you use, and how do you like the results?

I had read about Redken All-Soft in a few of your earlier posts Lyris so on my lunch break I did the power shop thing and went and bought the shampoo and conditioner. They were 20% off so I couldn't refuse. Especially since I just colored my natural blond hair brown last night. First time I ever did it and i'm actually liking it.

Isn't it wonderful? I want to know what the scent is because it heavenizes the shower. Couldn't they make it a cologne? :-)

I just purchased Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner brand-new on ebay for half price. After everything I've heard about this product on the board, I can't wait to try it. Thanks for all the great feedback here.

Hi Spaci,

Our pocketbooks sound so alike! The good thing about Paul Mitchell is that it's one of the most affordable salon brands. I like the intense moisture shampoo, but again it's hard to get a lot of conditioning from a shampoo because it doesn't stay on your hair long and is designed to clean, not condition. Either way it is a good, gentle cleanser. I haven't tried PM conditioner. Redken All Soft is equally good--I actually like it more--but the KMS product you're using was actually my favorite.

I know. I went to the store today and noticed it was instant moisture. Just my usual brain farts. But thanks. My hair is fine but tends to get a little dry on the ends so I was looking for something. I was debating between the paul mitchell or the redken all soft. I'm currently using KMS Daily Repair Conditioner and it actually isn't too bad. I'm just a product junkie and love to buy new things despite my checkbook telling me other wise.

Hi

Yes I have tried it. It is called Instant Moisture.
It comes with shampoo and conditioner. They give just the right amount of moisture without weighing the hair down. And it has a great scent.

Its Greeeaaaat!!!
I am a professional Hairstylist/Haircolorist with 19 years experience. I have traveled all over the country for my advanced education. I am also a salon owner.:)........and I LOVE Redken!!!

I have seen it in the stores but wanted to see what other people had with the results of paul mitchells intense mositure set. It's the ones with the water design on the front. My hair is feeling dry because of this cold weather and thought this may help.
