You may want to consider using Aubrey Organics' Glycogen Protein Balancer (GPB) conditioner. It works really well for the need you describe. Hope this helps and good luck.
It's sold in many health food stores. Also at http://www.aubreyorganics.com. It's a bit pricey ($8.75 for 8oz or $16.75 for 16oz) but IMO it's worth every penny for its ability to strengthen weakened or damaged hair.
i've just checked out the site. do u know if their shampoos work just as good and maybe even better at streightening hair than the conditioner cause they have a deal to get a Blue Camomile shampoo(8 oz.) and then get a GPB free with it for 8.50$ but its just a small bottle of the conditioner(2 oz.). which would be better? that or just the big bottle of conditioner for $8.75 (8 oz.)??? and if u say just the conditioner, does it matter with shampoo i'd use? i have a neutrogena. *Kit*

I couldn't agree more! I have thick, henna-coloured hair (this will always make hair dryer) and usually I react allergic to all kind of chemicals in shampoos and conditioners. I started using Aubrey and it is GREAT. Yes, it is pricy and if you are used to thick lather it will "feel" strange and wrong in the beginning since it doesn't give that much of a lather, but you are not only doing something good for your hair, but also for the environment!

There is not only black and white, there is also grey
