Hi! I have hair that`s almost half a foot (actually, about 8 in.)below my shoulders. It is really thick, (like REALLY REALLY thick)and it is amazingly puffy. I`ve tried a zillion shampoos and conditioners, and nothing has helped, and I`m tired of having my hair tied up in a low pony tail EVERY DAY. No styles that I`ve tried work. My hair has a really pretty gold color, I have sort of an oval face, with thick glasses(big ones). Also, it`s naturally wavy, only the waves are seperated--like, one section will be a nice wave, then 2 inches over, it will bea really tight wave, and a little farther over, will be almost straight. It`s never even, and I cant blow dry it bcuz that makes it puffier. It`s in okay condition--its soft, and pretty healthy, but there are a lot of split ends. (not to mention all that frizzy stuff) I DO NOT WANT TO CUT MY HAIR BECAUSE IT LOOKS BAD. PLEASE tell me what to do because I`m at my wits` end and I dont know what to do!!! thankyou!!!

Ok, as much as you really don`t want to cut your hair, it may be for the better. Even if it is only an inch or two to eliminate the split ends. Other than that, you might want to get your hair thinned or straightened. This would eliminate the frizz and the split ends!

Well toodles!

Beth, your hair may be lacking moisture... oils. You may want to deep condition as well. The oils should help tame the mane a bit. Don`t blow dry until its crispy, only until it`s slightly damp, and on low heat. You may want to zap the splits if you`re willing to spend some time going through it looking for them. And a little trim from the ends could help too. Hope I`ve offered a few good ideas, and good luck!

I used to have the same problem, my hair was long, very thick, and had an uneven wave problem. I would always wear it in a pony tail becasue I was afraid of cutting it or wearing it down. I started putting mousse in my hair, drying it with a blow dryer, then staightening it, and it ended up looking a lot better, and it took a lot of the frizz away. Also, try to get a trim every about 4 weeks.
