The trick with manic panic; you have to leave it in for likr 2-3 hours + for it to stay in for a long time. It won`t damage yoru hair; its a vegetable based dye.

The problem about average staying power w/ semi permenent dyes is that its random for each person, in my hair the manic panic ultra violet stayed in for 2 days, for a friend of mine it stayed in for about 5 days...i had proccessed hair and he had bleached hair...then i have a friend who put in midnight blue in his hair unbleached and he has had it in for 2 months and we are like what tha. What he said was that he left it in for 30 minutes, and he didn`t rinse all of it out, and just didn`t wash his hair for like 2 days.
If you have a Sally`s beauty shop by where you live you should be able to find manic panic cotton candy pink...just look for your closest hair shops and check each one:P (or you can order it off the net www.dyemyhair.com has some links to places where you can buy dyes.)

The only thing is, I live in Australia, and I dont know what dyes are available here, can anyone tell me what brands in Aus have good pinks? Average staying power would be helpful too. Thanks
Thanks for the info, I`m definitely going to bleach before hand, and the colour I`m thinking about is Manic Panic`s Cotton Candy, though I`m still open to opinions.
your hair needs to be a light blonde - like the color of the inside of a banana peal.
dark hair: you need to bleach. if there is a Sally`s Beauty Supply store near you, go there and ask the people there what you need. If there`s no Sally`s near you, then go to a drug store and buy bleach.
medium hair: if you hair is a medium brown, then all you have to do is go to a drug store and buy a dye that`s supposed to lighten your hair. I think L`Oreal makes dye like this.
blonde/light hair: you won`t have to bleach.

I really dont care what you do. You can but what do you think do you really want to be different? I think that you should do what you want to do but if you think you will look good with pink hair then go ahead. Remember this if you don`t like your new do then it will go away eventually. I really dont care but you do what you want to do.
Ok, I am a 17 year old guy, and a friend of mine said that I would look good with pink hair, and a couple of others backed her up, so when I get to uni next year (I live a few hours away from them) I`m going to let them dye my hair Pink, as in Fairy Floss shade, any opinions or advice (such as brand etc)?
