Gone!!!!!!!

That is the only way to describe what my hair is. Why? I don`t know really, I guess because I thought having short hair like everyone else was better than having beautiful, blonde hair down to my waiste that I have been growing for years and have never recieved anything but compliments on. I mean I wanted it done, stupid me walks into the salon and asks to have my hair chopped into a chin length straight across SHORT cut that I can do nothin with but leave down. I can`t pull it back, I can do basically nothing. It will takeprobobly months to reach my shoulders again, altought all that means is I will look like more people. I was very popular too, and I`m sure this will effect it. Almost no one has even seen it yet and I think I`m gonna drop out of school for a few years. When I saw the hair on the floor it was like I went into shock, and I am still very upset, and probobly will be for a while. Don`t cut your long hair, despite what people on this board tell you, it is not better than long hair, just more ordinarry.

Girl, I know what you mean. This was a long time ago, but I had hair down to the middle of my back. I cut it as short as 2 inches above my chin! I hated it. The only real advice that I can give you is this: Work with what you`ve got. Put cute clips in your hair, curl it, get a couple layers put in, maybe even try a new color. All of those can really pull the look together. But, like you said, it will take a while to grow out. So just try and be patient, and don`t worry about your social status. You`ll survive.

I`m about to cut off my hair that is down to my thigh, do you think I will regret it. Will getting to cut my friends hair too help, (if I do I will have to keep mine short for a year), so I need to know if its worth it. What don`t you like abou short hair, and why was your long hair so important? I know I value mine but I feel I am ready to get rid of it.

Yes, it will grow back, but in my case it will probobly take 4 years or more and by that time i will be 21, and may not want to grow it all back, so the descision is prewtty big cause it will take so long and so much patience to grow this long again.

There is no reason why you should go and cut your hair off short. I am sure that you look absolutely amazing with your hair that long and bet that you get tons of admiration and affection from the boys! Don`t be in a rush to cut your hair short, there is plenty of time to do that in the future. If you still enjoy having your hair really long, then I say keep it until you are sure you want something shorter.

Its just that from previous experinces where a girl has super long hair looks ok, but the hair is hiding her natural features, such as your face or eyes. The hair may look good but does it do any thing for you like show off your natural beauty? How long does it take for you to get ready in the morning? Some times I heard it was putting alot of pressure on there back from all the weight of the hair, or have breathing problems because the hair is pulling your head back causing you to breath funny. These may not happen to you but it has happened to other girls with super long hair. Check out the celebrity site they have a picture of a model that had super long hair and got it buzzed and every one thought she looked great including long hair lovers. I would not suggest going short at once, take it in stages, like start with cutting it above your waist then if your comfortable cutting more goto mid back lenght, at least this way you can decide if you really want to go all the way. Just remember thigh lenght hair will take about 6-7 years of nonstop growth to get it that lenght again depending how short you go. All I was saying is you may look pretterier with the shorter hair, if you think you look good the way you are then don`t cut it.

I use to have long blonde hair down to my butt! And I cut it because my friends said the look was getting old/ and I should try somthing new. And I agreed! I was such a damn fool! And now I have almost sholder leg- hair/ and its taking forever to grow back. Im even thinking about just cutting it all off. I know how you feel. I felt alot sexyer and hidden behind my long hair/ and now I just sink in with the crowd........I know its not the end of the world. Im just glad Im home schooled lol

do you think you might like it like a pixie look or something? i like that look on some girls, its SO cute! well its really the only thing i know of that could improve the short style you dont want until it grows out again, sorry about your bad experience.
