If you go to the Hair Gallery here at hairboutique.com try these style numbers: 3866, 3879, and 3905. They`re not exactly messy since they`re kinda of spiky. Also most of them that I found were clipped short at the sides so the looks aren`t really moppy. I hope that gives you an idea of what they look like.

Actually most of my friends & I love the look you`re going for. I really like hair when it`s a little bit long & messy, espically if it`s brown so I definately think you should do your hair that way. Spikey is getting less attractive. So in other words, yep girls like the grown out moppy/messy look.

i think that shaved heads are nice. im not talking about no hair, so you can see your scalp, but just shaved short.

um so knowone likes the spikey look, this kinda gets to me a bit, I Love having the Spikey look, a little longer but spikey none the less

I think the messy "bed head" type look is very cute on alot of guys. The spiky hair thing is getting kind of boring.

Crew Wax, and material paste, a combo of both, but just crew wax will work fine.
