Guy needs new haircut badly

Hey! I`m a 15 year old guy, tall and lanky (working on being less lanky though lately. lol) .. I just needs a completely new hairstyle. Since about 4th grade to 8th grade I had a mushroom cut, but then I cut my hair like it is now. I absolutely hate it! I`ve tried growing my hair out, but it hasn`t worked. lol .. in my opinion I look horrible. I`m actually trying to grow it out right now. I was wondering what kind of style (short? :D) would look okay on me. If you can help I`d appreciate it ALOT. I have some pics (ugly warning):
