Thanks for your comments. I dont really prefer gel as i like my hair to look shiny, soft, dry... the opposite of what gel does! Are Control Freak, Hair Glue wet look gels? I prefer the "look" of wax but i like the hold of gel... thats why i thought the manipulator would be good. For some reason unknown to me... KMS Hair Play is the only product out of MILLIONS i have tried that actually achieves what i want... the only problem is that it adds to much volume so when my hair is longer it is not really appropriate to use. As for what my hair looks like... i could send a pic? I`d like to find some way to use this product... as i do like the "feel" of it... its like i have nothing in my hair and i like that... maybe i should try blowdrying the stuff in???

I`m a hairdresser, and I would love to help you out. Without seeing and feeling your hair, it is hard to tell you exactly what is going on with the manipulator. I can tell you that manipulator is a great product, but i RARELY use it on guys who have the type of hairstyle you have. It works great for "flippy" styles on the girls, but for guys..if you prefer a gel, Tigi Bedhead "Control Freak" is very strong...also, Paul Mitchell makes a new "hair glue". I use it alot, and sell alot of it, but it is VERY sticky and dries very stiff. Another product I would suggest is Spikers Wax or hair glue..both wonderful products. Hope I helped you out...the manipulator never dries hard, and is great for somebody who wants to change the style a little thru the day, but obviously just not enough control, for you. :)

forgot to say my hair is razor cut... and looks wkd with the wax stick (it being the only product ive got that seems strong enough to take on my hair) but i was looking for a product that would take my hair less time to do (im a guy and therefore dont wanna spend more time in the bathroom than i have to).

Now maybe i am using this product incorrectly but it does absolutely NOTHING on my hair. I have very thick/coarse straight hair that i usually have messey (tigi wax stick) or spikey... kms molding paste/fudge gum. On dry hair i style it and it doesn`t see strong enough... on wet hair it works a little better but doesn`t dry out afterwards. Am i using this product incorrectly as i thought it was meant to be really good. Any tips on getting this to work on my hair type would be good.

Thanks,

Shaun
