I hate my highlights!

Ok so I got back from the stupid hairdresser with my stupid highlights and I hate them.
Ive been depressed for the last week because the cut and color I dont think could of turned out worse!
I have about a billion different colors in my hair with bright yellow thin streaks. My boyfriend called me bumblelion! And to top it off the cut is the worst cut ive ever had. I asked for long layers meaning keep my lengh and have 1/2 inch on layering over top. He went scissor happy and cut layers starting above my ears. This does not work with my thick wavy hair. It looks messy and has absolutly no style. Theres uneven pieces everwhere. In the back it rounds out like a mushroom then the bottom looks like a giant rat tail! I HATE IT!!!!
Anyways I need help to fix this! I want to go back to all one color dark blond-light brown. Will this work? Is my hair going to be super fryed? can anybody help me with this? Im going nuts all I think about all day is my hair growing!

Hi thanks for the advice. I still havent gone to the hairdresser. Ive been hiding in my house because i look so hideous lol. Anyways The layers below my ears are so choppy and uneven, I;; probly have to go pretty short, which dosnt suit me at all. I am going cut most it off though. At least the giand rat tail! I was wondering about razoring would that help.? And what about the color? Can I go lighter or darker all one color without stripping it? Do hairdressers have so kind of highlight remover? thanks
