how do i get to this...

ive been growing out my hair and i hate it. especially around my ears. its just horrid.

so how can i go from this wavy/uncut mess:


to this: (aka the "fashioncore" look)



im guessing i need to first get it cut, but i dont know what needs to be cut and how. (obviously my bangs arent nearly long enough yet either)

and then i also guess i need to get my hair straightened somehow. is this expensive? can it be done at any salon?

also what should i put in my hair, ive tried wax/pomade, but its not really all that great. right now i wear a hat almost 24/7 to matte my hair down, but summers coming soon, how i can do this without a tight beanie/hat?

i used to always have short short hair so im clueless. thanks!
