hi, I had a haircut recently, and I had long hair but I got layers and now its kinda short and stuff, I want my hair to grow back to the way it was but It takes a loong time. And I don't want to have hair extensions or anything like that. how do I make my hair grow longer faster?
Scientifically, you cannot change your growth rate. Average growth rate for a human being is about 1/2 inch per month.
but you CAN maintain your hair and prevent damage, breakage, etc... This "increases" your growth rate by your not having to trim it, if that makes sense. For maximum "growth",
(1) Avoid heat appliances, especially flat irons, curling irons, and blow driers (2) absolutely no perms or other chemical treatments; no gel/hairspray/mousse; shampoo hair as soon as possible after swimming. (3) no uncovered rubber bands, French barrettes, and accessories with sharp edges that may tear or break hair. (4) and otherwise treat your hair like silk.
Best of luck to you and your locks! You can also keep a hair journal if you like, to record monthly measurements and hair product results. Many people find this to be fun and useful.
hmm. thats a good idea, thanks.life is too short to be so concerned about looks and Im just going to have to be patient for my hair to grow out on its own.
