Hey guys just wondering if anyone out there can help?...A freind of mine is looking for a new look with her hair and wanted to do something different and was thinking of a undercut / undershave...Is there any girls out there that have this cut or has had one before?...Can you share your experiences with this cut or even show pictures or direct us to where to find some?...Also she went to a hair salon and the lady said she was hesatent to shave her long blonde hair!!!! is there anyone from australia that can direct her to a funky salon that does this kind of work?....

No way! not for girls. It doesnt even look good on guys. I dont know why people do it.

My friend has an undercut (she shaved it for dreads but had to remove them). It varies really, sometimes it looks terrible, yet sometimes it really suits her. If you keep the top section quite long it is easiest. It looks good with pig tails or thick hair, but if your hair is flat it looks like a terrible boys bowl cut!

A undercut is when the underneath section of the hair is shaved/buzzed usually around the neck part but sometimes right around the sides too..it looks awesome with a cute pony tail or hair up, not many girls are brave enough to try it but my friend just had it done and it looks hot on her..

Both of these are cut pretty high; the clipper shaved portion goes above the ear. I keep my wife's about mid ear and it looks great when she wears a ponytail.

They are some good photos HAWG..Just wondering what blade number does your wife do hers on?..And how high up?..My girlfriend liked my friends new cut and is keen to do it herself, any ideas on some kinda funky undercut or shaved style?..She has blonde hair so any ideas or pics would help..

I kinda like them. My friend had hers undercut a few year back. She has sandy blonde hair and when she wore it up in a ponytail it look really cool becasue the clippered part was darker colored. I'm not fond of side of the ears shaved look though. My friend only had hers undercut in the back up and nape up to her ear area

Jimmy, that is what my friend ended up doing!!, She had her hair coloured really blonde and the undercut part shaved on a 0 blade on the clipperes, now after 2 weeks the undershave part has grown and its a darker brown, a lot of girls have blonde on top and then brown underneath this is the same but its just shaved!!..Im going to try to post some photos..Its funny since my friends have started shaving the undershave part i have seen a lot of girls in melbourne doing it now, my friend is a hair dreeser and she says she has done about 10 undershaves in the past two weeks and she says they are coming back into fashion again..

I get to do the cutting and I use a #1 and buzz halfway up her ear. When she wears it in a ponytail, there's about two inches of buzzed nape showing.

Hawg, thats pretty cool you get to do the buzzing yourself!!, my girlfriend wants me to do hers but im a little nervous cos i dont wana stuff it up..Do you have any pics of how far up you do your girlfriends?

Thanks for your input lisa but my girlfriend loves hers and im sure that there is plenty of others members out there that feels the same way..You mite think they are horrible but everyone has different tastes, what you think is nice others mite think is horrible...You just mite not be game to try something different yourself

GOOD GRIEF THOSE ARE HORRENDOUS! Never, EVER do that! LoL..even if they look "good" on some people, the hairstyle is still quite ugly..heh.
