The biggest thing about wavy and/or curly hair is to keep the waves/curls hydrated. Frizz on curly hair is usually due to dryness or otherwise heat damage. You didn't mention any heat though.. Have you tried using conditioner only (CO) and no shampoo? Or conditioning twice? (CWC: a cheapo conditioner before shampoo, shampoo, then your regular conditioner after shampoo) Or maybe you could shampoo, then condition with two different kinds in a row (WCC).

I use both CWC and WCC, and a CWCC every so often. With CWCC, I work coconut oil through my hair before a wash. (Susan mentioned this wonderful stuff) and then I shampoo it out. I'll finish that off with two different conditioners (one from the dollar store and another that I like)

All of these methods I use to keep my coarse and porous hair hydrated. I am Asian and I've found that my wavy/curly friends have the same hair needs as me-- the key thing here is moisture, moisture, moisture.

HTH and best of luck

You could try jojoba or coconut oil. Put a few drops on the palm of your hand, rub it on the palms of both hands, and rub it on your hair, only from the ears down (so your scalp won't look oily). Then brush it through your hair (keeping your brush away from the scalp). If it makes your hair look oily though, you used too much. It shouldn't get on your clothes or make your hair look dirty. One drop or two should do it. After I wash my hair and it dries, I use it, then I don't use it again until after the next wash. Some people use it every day though, it is very good for hair and keeps it moisturized. It will also weigh it down some and flatten it. I have straight hair, and it weighs mine down almost too much, so, you can try it and see if it works for you.
Good luck.
