I know I sound like a broken record, but something happened this weekend that I just have to tell you about.I live in New England and we had lots of rain this weekend. My hair usually doesn't react badly to the rain, but I spent a great deal of time outside getting wet. We were in the mountains and not being the type of people to let some wet weather stop us we went sight seeing. I had my hair in a braid so I figured that would protect it somewhat and I wore a hat to protect the top of my head, but my hair still got quite wet.Well after getting back to the cabin and cooking dinner, my hair had dried. I took it out of the braid to comb through it and it was awful. Frizzy, dry feeling and a tangled mess. I started at the bottom and worked out the tangles as usual, but I no sooner got them out and they were back again. I was panicked. I didn't have any of my Aveda products with me, so shampooing it was out of the question. Next morning I put it back into a braid and off we went again to get wet before heading home.Once home I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't want to try combing it out again, but I knew I had to before shampooing. So I just left it in the braid and undid the ends up to about 18 inches. Then I used the Aveda Beautifying Oil on the ends like I usually do and let it sit for a few hours. Just before jumping into the shower, I took out the braid, said a prayer, and tried my comb on the ends. What a huge releif!!!! The comb just glided through the ends and no tangles. I was able to get it all combed out and shampoo and condition as usual. Today my hair is soft and silky as usual. What did I learn? Never again will I go away without my Aveda products! Especially the Beautifying Oil!

Hi Noreen,Thanks for the great story about Beautifying Oil. All I can keep saying over and over is...it works, it works, it works. :-)Thanks for your post. I was shuddering just thinking about your tangled hair.Recently I was half asleep and stepped in the shower BEFORE I brushed my sleep tangles out of my hair. EECK. My hair was a mess. I poured on extra Curressence and then Curressence spray. Guess what? Same results as you. The comb went gliding through what had been a mess.I will never again go near the shower until after I have coffee.:-)Karen> I know I sound like a broken record, but> something happened this weekend that I just have> to tell you about.> I live in New England and we had lots of> rain this weekend.
