Hi Clare,I do a couple of things. First I always towel blot my hair and then spray my hair with either Curressence spray or a light dab of Aveda Elixer or Joico (which I am currently testing. I also use Phyto #7 creme sometimes. Then I spray a little of the Curressence (or whatever I am using) on my fingers and I start at the front sides of my hair and work from the bottom up. While I am picking (carefully) I am also using my fingers to help detangle and "finger pick" as I use the actual pick. I work from the front of my hair to the back in about 4-6 inch sections.Usually my hair is pretty tangle-free, so it doesn't take a lot of time. I have found that a cool/cold water rinse will make picking even easier because it closes the hair cuticle.Hope that helps. I would love to hear of any other "picking" techniques.Karen> Hi, Karen,> When you pick your hair straight, is there> a specific technique that you use?> Thanks, Clare
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
