Help! I have been coloring my hair for years and I am now thinking about letting it go back it its natural color, grey. I would appreciate suggestions on how to let it grow out. Should I cut it all off, bleach it or color it a different color. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I colored my hair with hair coloring that was suppose to wash out but didn't. I decided to let it grow out. My natural color is very dark brown with red highlights. It's not so bad because the hair color I used was complimentary to the natural color of my hair. You can see where the gray is growing in tho. I just plan on getting regualr trims until it is all caught up. My hair is below shoulder length, so it will take another year of growth to get caught up. This is what I am doing with my gray situation! Cheryl> Help! I have been coloring my hair for years> and I am now thinking about letting it go back> it its natural color, grey. I should add a P.S. At first when the color faded from my hair, it turned the parts where it is naturally silver to a brassy red. And I mean brassy! As soon as I started to use Aveda products, I noticed the red toning down. I think most of the color did wash/fade out except for the parts where it was gray. I have alot of salt and pepper on my sides.. especially my right side of my head. Just in the immediate front/sides. That is where the color adhered like glue. Thanks to Aveda (again)...it helped me out of a icky situation.. I had almost forgotten about the brassy red..just thought I would add that..
