I've read so many GOOD things about Aveda's Curressence that it makes me want to try it.I did buy the Chamoile Color Conditioner - and I must admit that I didn't think it added much moisture or color refreshment to me hair. I was going to buy the Deep Penetrating Conditioner, but the sales lady said they were both so similar........so I just bought the Color Conditioner. So, how does Curressence stack up against the Deep Penetrating? Are both of these more conditioniong than the color conditioner that I bought? Thanks, Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,The Aveda "color" shampoos like Chamomile and Blue Malva and Black Malva are a lot more drying than the Shampure shampoo. The herbs and ingredients tend to dry the hair. The color change often takes a few times of regular use to "take". I know that I can not use the Chamomile or Blue Malva every day because it will dry my hair. The color change I get is more the effect of brightening rather than a real obvious change. My hair seems to be just overall brighter.I have also found ARTec's Lemon Flower to be even more drying than the Aveda Chamomile, so I have given up on their color shampoos and am sticking with the more moisturizing KIWI and Smoothing shampoos. If your hair is naturally dry, use the Aveda color shampoos only 1 or 2x a week. This will give you only subtle hair color changes though. But it will keep your hair from getting too dry.Keep us posted on your results. Thanks,Karen> I've read so many GOOD things about Aveda's> Curressence that it makes me want to try it.> I did buy the Chamoile Color Conditioner> - and I must admit that I didn't think it added> much moisture or color refreshment to me hair.> I was going to buy the Deep Penetrating Conditioner,> but the sales lady said they were both so similar........so> I just bought the Color Conditioner.> So, how does Curressence stack up against> the Deep Penetrating? Are both of these more conditioniong> than the color conditioner that I bought?I've found the Curessence to be a lot more moisturizing than the Color Conditioners. I tend to alternate, because the Curessence is a bit much for my hair every single day, and it does cost a bit more than the Color Conditioners. I found that the Color Conditioners can take a while to really show a difference, and even then it isn't amazingly dramatic.I just bought some of the Deep Penetrating Revitalizer, and used it once. It seemed nice, sort of somewhere between the Curessence and the Color Conditioners. The one that really seems more like the Color Conditioners to me is the Cherry Almond Bark (although I think that smells much better - in fact, it's my favorite for smell of all the Aveda products!).I also found that when I tried using a little more than I thought I needed of the Color Conditioners, it worked better. Anyway, good luck!Laura Jane lswanson@sunflower.bio.indiana.edu
