Not to mention the burns you can get on your face, neck and hands doing it yourself. My daughter did this for awhile..it works but she burned herself a few times. It will dry out your hair... if you do it, put a towel over it first and get someone else to do the ironing!! I think getting a straightening iron like Joan said would be worth it. Tho, I have never seen one used before or it's ability to straighten. If you make this a habit, I would start some good conditioning treatments! You can use a regular iron but the amount of heat that a regular clothes iron dispenses it too high to use safely on the hair.If you want to straighten your hair cheaply, buy a hair straightening iron at any discount store.
