I am waiting on my order from WWBS......and it will include Aveda's Beautifying oil.......however, I tried a oil I had here already. It was called a rosemary hair oil. It actually is olive oil with essential rosemary and lavender oils in it. SO........I decided to give it a shot. I warmed it up in the micro, massaged in my scalp and lightly rubbed some on my hair - then brushed it through. I put more on my dry ends. I wrapped my head in a warm moist towel and left it on for an hour - then shampooed. I shampooed twice to get the oil out. My hair does have a nice sheen - but in some areas I don't think I got the oil washed out well. The bottle said to leave it on for a half hour with hair wrapped in a towel.....Cher, I know you and Noreen leave Aveda's oil on longer. I'm wondering if their oil is a "lighter" oil. I'm glad I didnt have anywhere special to go tonight as my hair looks a bit oily - but it doesn't feel that way. How much oil do you guys that use the Aveda oil apply to your hair?thanks, Suzanne
I had a harder time getting pure jojoba oil out of my hair. I do not have any problems with Aveda's oil. I would spend the extra anyday for Aveda's. It may have been the consistancy. Aveda's oil is thinner in texture and the smell is nice. I have not used the particular oil you mentionted.. but pure jojoba oil to me is quite thick. Hopefully, you will enjoy the Beautifying oil.
