Hi Dee,The key is to find a brush that has silky smooth spokes and NO KNOBS on the end of the spokes. I like some of the Conair brushes, and I like Cricket Boar's Head brushes. Those are some of my current favorites.I am looking for some good brushes and I hope to offer them through our new retail store that will have all kinds of hair goodies for sale. We will only sell products that Jeff and I personally use and like and feel are good value and good for the hair.So I am still looking for the perfect brush although you can find several that don't have the knobs on the ends and have smooth spokes.Best wishes,Karen> Hello,> I know this has been asked a million times..sorry> just did not find a post that had it. I have a Mason Pearson boar bristle brush and a George Michael (for long hair) boar bristle brush. I love them both, although the Mason Pearson is a bit expensive. I believe they're available at high-end stores like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Best of luck! Jen

Out of all the brushes I've ever used in my life I only have 2 that have worked well for me (they're identical) and they have knobs on the ends of the bristles.Unfortunately I bought them at a beauty supply about 10 years ago and I'd be in biiiiig trouble if I lost them.-jj
