Hello, I have hair down to my bottom. Its a nice shade of red (somewhere between Strawberry blonde and fiery red) and I love my hair, as does my husband. I cannot cut it short as I look TERRIBLE with short hair. So, this puts me in a quandry. I have an extremely sensitive head. Every day when I brush my hair I end up nearly in tears. Yesterday I spent an hour just brushing it and getting the tangles, rats nests, and snarls out of my hair. It gets tangled so easily I barely move my head and its tangled again! (ACK!) Add in a five year old a six month old baby, a dog a husband and house cleaning I haven't got hours to spend on my hair to keep it straight. I cannot afford all the expensive detanglers and shampoos and every other thing to keep my hair untangled and comfortable. Most times I stick it in a bun and leave it that way. After a while my hair breaks from being so tight all the time. So, what do I do? I need something around my house that is afordable, to keep my hair straight and manageable without putting me in tears every day. Even something cheap in the store would help. ANYTHING PLEASE!!!

Christina,I wanted to cry just listening to your story. I don't know if this will work for your hair but it may help. Since hair gets most tangled at night try braiding it before bed or try sleeping on satin pillowcases.Hope it helps!Angel O:)> Hello, I have hair down to my bottom. I am curious, what shampoo and conditioner are you using now? My niece had hair that pratically felted at night in the back. We found three products that seemed to work well although I can only recall two right now. The two I do recall are Citre Shine and Mane 'n Tail (make sure it's by Straight Arrow).A friend of mine who has an ultra sensitive scalp uses this trick that I taught her - take one or two capfulls of shampoo and put them into an empty shampoo bottle and fill it up with warm water. Swirl it around or let it sit over night to mix and then use that to wash your hair. The first shampoo won't have a lot of bubbles but the second will. You may even find you don't need to use it all. It is easy to put in and rinse out. Initially with a sensitive scalp don't pour the shampoo on top of your head, work it up from the bottom. Later you may find that the diluted shampoo doesn't irritate your scalp as much. When you condition your hair don't put any on your scalp some conditioners irritate. If your hair tangles easily then wear it in a braid. Even a loose braid will keep the majority of you hair tangle-free. At night braid your hair or if you don't like the waves wrap the length with a wide ribbon.I have also found that using a little oil (I prefer jojoba but you can use almond or olive) on my brush and hair as I brush it helps to make the task easier.> Hello, I have hair down to my bottom.
