My girlfriend remembers her mother occasionally rolling her hair on rags when she wanted curly hair so many years ago. She describes the curls as "somewhat tousled and coarse" but can't remember any of the details. Can someone help us get started? Or, perhaps there are more 'modern' ways of having temporary curls like this?

Hi Bill,Lucky for you...Hair Boutique is crammed with rag curler info. I would like you to check out the articles & tips section where we have a great article by Valentine on rag curls.> My girlfriend remembers her mother occasionally> rolling her hair on rags when she wanted curly hair so> many years ago. Thanks Karen! The trouble I'm having is getting the ends of my hair rolled around the rag to start the wrap. I've asked Bill to help and we are having trouble doing a nice wrap because those ends keep slipping! Any ideas here? Also, in all my adult life, I've never used rollers (I know, all my friends are amazed!). Are there any good articles or sites that will teach me the basics of how to section my hair if I ever get the hang of this rag thing? I'm always able to talk my boyfriend into giving me a hand!
