As some of you know from reading my post, I got extensions put in my hair for $160. After a few days they began to hurt and my sister said that they were kind of obvious on the sides. I took them out but I didnt have the money to go right back and get them done over, so I bought a hair book and am going to ATTEMPT to do them over again myself. Does anyone have any advice(or warnings) about doing this procedure at home? PLease respond before I mess up my head and come back on asking advice about haircuts!!!!!

IF IT HAS ONLY BEEN A FEW DAYS, TALK TO YOUR STYLIST MAYBE SHE WILL DO THEM FOR FREE. IF NOT I WOULDN'T TRY TO DO THEM MYSELF IF I DIDN'T HAVE THE EXPERIENCE. OR YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE WHO DOES EXTENTIONS AT HOME WHO WOULD DO IT FOR A REASONABLE COST. BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK SOMETHING OUT WITH YOUR STYLIST.

i found a neat and easy way (not expensive either) I found some extensions with little combs to place in my hair. the extensions are long and you can cut them yourself to any lengths. they are 1 inch in width and you just place them in with the attached combs. They are wonderful. they add as much volume as you need. no one will ever know.

I am thinking about getting extensions this weekend. I have heard it hurts. How real can this look? I have naturally curly hair and it is real short. I don't want to wait for it to grow. I heard the pain goes away in a few days, is this true?
