I tried to color my naturally reddish-brown hair medium brown, but instead it turned very dark brown. I would like to lighten it to light brown with no red. Any suggestions?

Most hairstylists, unfortunately, resort to bleaching and it's easier to blonde black hair than it is to bleach haircolor out of the hair. There is hope, however. If you used a permanent tint to begin with, find a salon that carries "Modulat" by Schwartzkopf. It will gently remove the dye you put in. Then you can start over. If a semi-permanent color was used, to my knowledge, you're SOL without using bleech. If someone else out ther has an effective method for removing semi-permanant, non-oxydising color, I'd love to know.
