Those really did a number on my hair (well, I did use the drug store kind.....). It felt dry, stiff, and gunky. So I use the Conair straightener sometimes, but not every day. I am switching to Artec Smoothing (waiting for it to arrive after ordering from WWBS). My hair is about the same length as yours, and if I don't blow it dry, it is very curly and tends towards a little frizz on the ends.I also use ION reconstructor once or twice a month for an hour or two with a plastic cap.HTH:Laura

Hi there! You and I are in the same boat. My hair is about two inches past my chin and it is loosely curled. Up until about four months ago I used to relax my hair and then blow it straight everyday too. I also colored and highlighted (talk about major dryness that I am still paying for). However, since I have learned to go with my natural texture, life has been a lot easier and my hair A LOT softer. You should definately be aware that texture (curls and waves) are really coming on strong these days-- give your natural texture a try. As for products this is what I use, and it has worked wonders (smells good, too). First I wash with ARTec Smoothing Shampoo and Smoothing Conditioner. Then, as a leave in, I put in a pea sized amount of the Smoothing Conditioner and follow it with ARTec Texture Creme (adds more moisture plus a bit of control). Finally, I use either the ARTec Smoothing Serum or Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam. After a quick blast with a diffuser I use a 1 inch curling iron and define my curls. The result-- full, soft, bouncy curls!Sherry
