I've been letting my hair grow out for a little while now so I can braid it like I do about once a year, only now I want dreds but don't know how to go about this. I've heard about beeswax, perms, and even glue or honey!!! Any help would be greatly appriciated. E-mail me if ya want jody_gilbert@hotmail.com

I don't know much about this subject but some white people I know have used a product called 'let's dread'. I don't know where one gets this though. Regarding perms, there's a site in the links section of the hairboutique that is all aboutdreadlocks made using perm techniques. The site has very nice pictures; the dreads look more tidy than most I've seen.

Hi. Go into the Hairboutique's LINKS page. There are someafrican-american sites listed and one of them has something that will start dreads. I saw it and would like to try it too. Sounds like it's pretty good. GOOD LUCK!!!!Leilani
