QuoteReplyTopic: Help For Bad Water Posted: January 12 2000 at 3:35am
I moved about 9 months ago into a new development and since then my hair has gone from bad to worse from the change in the water. I was miserable. This past weekend my (wonderful) husband came home with a Culligan Shower Water Filter. It goes in the shower and screws on between your shower head and the pipe. Literally ANYONE can install it. You can still move the shower head if you need to and it doesn't lessen the force of the water coming out of the shower head in any way.Let me tell you - after just one use, my hair was already manageable, smooth (I have wavy, frizzy hair) and I didn't wake up looking like the bride of Frankenstein in the morning. It is now Tuesday, I've washed my hair every day and my hair hasn't looked this good since before I moved. I can't say enough about this little item. And the best part is that it only costs $17 and you replace the filter about every 6 months for about $14. There is a God in this world! Just had to let you all know about this find.Sincerely, ggggg

My husband found it at Loewe's in New Jersey - a new one opened up in my area. You could possibly try Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, K-mart or HomePlace. I know Linnens 'N Things has a shower head/water filter not make by Culligan and it is one unit with a shower massage for $39 but I think Culligan's is a better deal.I also searched the web and I saw an entry for www.heartlandamerica.com which has an on-line catalog but I couldn't reach the site. I think it's my firewall at work.Maybe it's just too new and you have to wait a little longer for it to get into all the stores (or maybe request to have it ordered at a store).Sincerely, ggggg
> Thanks.. I was calling the actual Culligan store.. I will try out the other places. I am in Virginia & we have all the stores you mentioned.. best regards.. I've lived in the country now for 9 years, on well water, and recently had a water filtration system put in on the whole house. I've about given up on my hair. This information has been helpful though to which I am thankful. If anyone has anymore ideas or helps on what to do about bad hair days I'd sure appreciate it.
My husband purchased it at the Lowe's in South Plainfield (I think). I believe it's one of the first ones in New Jersey. Hope this helps.Sincerely, ggggg
Sorry! It's actually on Centennial Ave. in Piscataway. Lowe's has decided to expand to New Jersey. There is a store locator at www.lowes.com! Check often because they are planning on opening a few of them in NJ. Hope this helps.Sincerely, ggggg
