That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
Last summer my highlighted hair turned green. I wrote to Karen and she wrote me back to put a high quality ketchup on my hair, massage it in good, let it sit a few minutes (not more than 10, the smell is awful & the drip is terrible). She said to then wash out the ketchup and use a good moisturizing shampoo and let it air dry.I did and my really green hair went away. First shot. That woman is a genius. :-) Anyway, I have told several of my friends about her rememdy and 2 of them tried it and it actually helped one friend get a lot of brassiness out of her hair.Thought I would share this in case Karen doesn't notice the posting (thanks Karen).> I just recently moved to a new city where the water> supply is very soft. Sounds like you might have a lot of chlorine in your water (yes, your drinking water has it, too). A quick fix for getting the green out of hair is to dissolve about 5 asprin in some warm water and run it through your hair for about 10 minutes. Then.. use the clarifying shampoo once or twice a week. You can also add some baking soda to your shampoo to get rid of the residue (after putting the amount of shampoo in your hand, add about a teaspoon of baking soda).

I just recently moved to a new city where the water supply is very soft. Within a few weeks of moving here, I've noticed that my very naturally blonde hair has green streaks throughout it. I haven't changed hair products recently, I haven't swam in any pools with chlorine, and I don't use any color products on my hair. I have noticed that the bottom of my shower curtain in the bathroom has a slight green tinge to it, therefore I'm assuming that my hair is having some sort of reaction with the water. Are there any products that I can use to get rid of the green and prevent this from happening again. I would prefer not to have to shave my head to get rid of the green! Not green with envy!
