> Hi, Leslie! The chlorine can cause breakage, especially if you can actually smell it in the water. However, your breakage could simply be caused by a part which has been in your hair for too long. This can happen. It is better not to part your hair, but if you do, to alternate re placement. Has your part been in the same place for two years or more? If so, breakage is definitely possible. You might also use a water filter for the chlorine. As to the Benadryl, I am familiar with the elixir which I take for sinus during allergy season or when my sinuses act up. I am sensitive to most things and have to take the child's dose to be able to tolerate it. Anyway, Benadryl can be extemely drying to the skin and hair. I realized this about three years ago when we were having a horrible pollen season and was literally taking the stuff just about around the clock. If your hair is already dry or brittle, this can contribute to breakage, but is unlikely to be a direct cause. Since I have increased my intake of Vitamin C, I hardly take Benadryl. My skin and hair like me for this. The C is also good to prevent split ends and is great for your skin.Hope this helps....All the Best,Jade21Hi, I live in Temecula, CA.
