Hi Erica,I put Aveda's Beautifying Oil...which is very heavy in jojobo..on my hair when it is dry. In fact, about 2x a week I will put just a tiny dab on the ends of my hair before I go to bed, braid my hair and then sleep with a towel over my pillow case...just in case the oil gets drippy.I did buy jojoba oil at the health food store, but I personally prefer the Beautifying Oil from Aveda. I have to admit that I don't remember what I spent for it, but it is a little expensive. I will go and look up what I paid and if I can find it...I will post again. It doesn't help the split ends you currently have but it does help prevent dryness which makes ends more prone to splitting.Hope that helps.Best wishes,Karen> Karen,> Do you put jojobo on the ends of your hair when your> hair is wet or dry? Karen,Do you put jojobo on the ends of your hair when your hair is wet or dry? How much do you put on? I am thinking about trying this, because I have heard that it helps split ends. How much do you pay for jojobo oil? Thanks! --Erica> Hi,> Well in my case I have to say a definite yes. Hi,Well in my case I have to say a definite yes. I have also had a noticeable change with essential fatty acids (EFAs) and with flax seed oil taken in capsule form. I have normally dry hair anyway and when I hit forty my hair and skin both started to get a lot drier. At the advice of my natural doctor I started taking EFAs & Vitamin E and it did make a big difference. The key is to allow it time to work and to take high quality. It took about 1 month before I noticed a difference. When I stopped for awhile to see what would happen, I noticed a difference faster. About 1 week and my hair was feeling drier.I have also used Vit E oil directly on my ends and found jojobo oil much better.Hope that helps.Best wishes,Karen> Does anyone know if vitamin E taken orally is helpful> to dry hair?
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
