I blow dried the back of my hair and I pulled my hair up off of my scalp to dry and I looked down to get my comb and I couldn't tell if the dryer hit my hair or not. My scalp hurts a little from all the heat I put on it, but the back of my hair looks normal. I hope I didn't touch the back of my hair. HELP!!!!

Hi,Don't worry. Even if you did accidently touch the back of your hair, one time will not permanently damage it. The problem comes in when you do it constantly on a long term basis. If you are concerned about your hair, do a good deep conditioning, hot oil treatment and you will be fine.If is also good, as a precaution, to use a good leave in conditioner on your hair when you blowdry to protect against heat damage. I currently alternate between Phyto#7, Phyto#9 and Aveda's Elixer.Best wishes,Karen> I blow dried the back of my hair and I pulled my hair> up off of my scalp to dry and I looked down to get my> comb and I couldn't tell if the dryer hit my hair or> not. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

I was just scared because my hair has gotten so long I didn't want to hurt it in any way. Thanks for the info.> Best wishes,> Karen
