I recently purchased some liquid panthenol and I am wondering if it is safe to use everyday. I mixed some in my conditioner. I am starting to see more split ends and worried I may be overdoing it. Anyone?

I've been using Panthenol in my Artec Smoothing shampoo for almost three weeks now. Just this past week I've notice that my hair is becoming harder and poofy. I know that panthenol is used as an thickning agent, so I wonder if that's the problem???? The only styling products that I use is Infusium 23leave-in and olive oil. I realize that Infusium also contains panthenol, so maybe my hair is being smothered with panthenol. I think I'll get a new bottle of shampoo this weekend.P.S I thought maybe the silicones in the Infusium 23 might be causing the problem, but I never had trouble with silicones in the past (I've been using Infusium for 6 years now)
