It is quite embaressing when you realize you have a bunch of white flakes on your shoulder! Please Help....Thank you!Rachel
Hi, Rachel!Love your name, by the way.Have you tried rubbing a little jojoba oil on your scalp periodically? That really helps. I did that during the winter months. When I say a little, I mean start with a drop in the palm of your hand and adjust upwards as needed. That way, you won't get a greasy mess:)Also, I have found that the dandruff shampoos help little. When I get the stuff, mine is the rather greasy kind. My grandmother had your kind. It is much easier to deal with in the sense that you need to rake it up periodically and brush it out of your hair. With the greasy kind, this is much harder to do, i.e., get it out of your hair, because it is so sticky. One thing that really helps is to place a stocking over the brush, so the flakes can adhere to the stocking. You can buy those "knee highs" which can readily be pulled over the brush. Insert the brush into the knee high and pull the it tightly over the brush so the bristles stick through the knee high.Back to shampoos. You want something that is extremely gentle and focus the shampoo on your scalp. If I get any it's usually in the winter or when the season is changing to winter and hot oil treatments and castile-based shampoos by Aubrey Organics alleviate the problem If you're not interested in a castile-based shampoo, try some baby shampoo for a while. My scalp was extremely irritated by the sodium lauryl sulfate in most shampoos.Hope this helps...Jade21P.S. You can find Aubrey Organics products at most health food stores, at the website www.aubrey-organics.com, or by calling 1-800 AUBREY H for a catalog. The products are excellent. I've been using the products continuously for nearly two years.Hi, I would appreciate any advice from anyone who can> help! I am among the many people who have a problem> with dry scalp.
