I have been using L'oreal Excellence Blonde Supreme for about a year now. I was always happy with the results until I got my shoulder length hair cut into a shorter "behind the ears" cut. The shorter cut (which I love), resulted in quite quick growing hair and since I didn't want to do a touch up every three weeks, I changed color and used Revlon Colorstay Middle Ashblond.Agghhhhh! The roots were fine as was the first inch or so, but the ends were deep gray. I called the L'oreal hotline and they suggested that I do a treatment of dandruff shampoo on dry hair for 20 mins with plastic wrap over my head, followed by a heavy conditioner for 20 minutes with plastic wrap over my head. I did this twice which succeeded in lifting the dark gray from the ends. It ended up with something I could live with, but now three days later, the color is fading and what was a nice ashblond, is looking more ashey everytime I look in the mirror. The hotline was helpful, but did I mention I live in The Netherlands, and the hotline was in Dutch, so I could only really follow the basic she was telling me. I need to know when and if I can ever use another color. I seriously need some goldtones in my ever fading hair. Please help me.
