QuoteReplyTopic: Help...I want straight hair!! Posted: January 12 2000 at 4:51am
I have waist length hair. If I don't blow dry it, it becomes wavy and frizzy. I have to blow dry it straight every single day. Is there any products out there that can help me get the straight hair that I want? I live in Oklahoma and the humidity here is awful. I can't find anything to withstand the humid air here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Sara,Why don't you try to just play up your beautiful waves? I DO understand your plight, as I have loose naturally curly hair--- BUT, it is much more easier to work WITH your texture instead of AGAINST it-- especially where humidity is concerned. Beleive me, there is NO straightening balm out there that will stand up to high humidity-- I live in Southern New Jersey, close to the shore and if this place isn't a test of humidity, I don't know what is :) I suggest you try a nice conditioning texture creme, like ARTec Texture Creme and scrunch up your waves. Also, grab yourself an issue of Victoria Secret catalog and take a look at Laeticia Casta's hair-- long and wavy-- it is beautiful and sexy-- hope this helps!Sherry~> I have waist length hair. THE ONLY THING I HAVE FOUND THAT WORKS IS RUSK'S RADICAL ANTI CURL, IT'S A SALON SERVICE THAT ISN'T AS HARSH AS REGULAR CHEMICAL STRAIGHTENING. I HAVE REEEAALLY CURLY, FRIZZY HAIR (BAD,BAD HAIR!) AND THIS STUFF LEAVES IT SOFT, SHINY AND STRAIGHT. IF YOURS ISN'T THAT CURLY, YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE TO BLOW DRY IT OUT ANYMORE.STEPHANIE
Hello Sara, if U want your hair to be just temporaily straight, here I recommend U a straightening balm. It is CITRE SHINE STYLER, straightening balm. After U apply to your towel-dried hair, brush and style hair straight while blow-drying to achieve a straighter, smoother look (If your hair is not very curly, U can save the blow-drying). It can also tame those fly-away frizzes. If u want your hair to be permanent straight, I suggest that U go to a good salon and have it chemically straightened. It would not to damage to your hair. I also have very long hair, even longer than U, and it was wavy. But few days ago, I had it cut and chemically straightened in a salon. My hair is still soft as before. Good Luck!
