I have been thinking about geting highlights for a long time, some peole were like, "They will look so good" and others were like, "They'll dry out your hair, and make it thinker, and it'll look really bad when you try to grown them out". But i really want to do domething different with my hair. My hair stylest said carmel would look best. I have dark brown hair, and i don't want to do anything really drastic. If you have any ideas, on this, please feel free to share them with me.Thank You,Meg
> I have had buttery blonde highlights on my past shoulder length dark mousy blonde hair for 15 years and I couldn't live without them. My hair looks great. OK it's dry and I have to treat it with conditioners and leave-ins, but highlights are so attractive if done well, I don't think you'll regret it. I love highlights on dark brown hair - go for it, is my advice. Also, they grow out very natually. As the highlights fade, the grow out is not noticeable at all, whereas with one color, it leaves a line.

If you dont have color on your hair ask your stylist to use color (as opposed to bleach) and start with just a few through the top to see if you really like them.
