I am trying to lighten my reddish brown hair to a very light brown with no red using home hair color. I have done test strands of light ash brown colors but they either turn to a dark red- brown or don't change at all. I would appreciate any suggestions- Thanks!

I would appreciate any suggestions- Thanks!To Laurie;Please try a light ash blonde color with mixed with 50%20 vol and 50%30 vol developer+ 2-4 drops of red/gold drabber. Remember the positive/negative number game with the 'levels' of the 'target colors' you want. Please refer to my article in the archives.william
