I keep seeing ginger in new shampoos that say they moisturize but whenver I've used anything with ginger in it it just left my hair feeling coated. I thought it was a body builder not a moisturizer.
Hi, Roberta!Hope you have been well....My boyfriend uses the Maui Island formula line of products and the company says that the ginger is supposed to be for moisture and overall scalp balance. Your hair probably feels coated because it's too heavy for your hair. It's sort of like macadamia oil. It's actually a lighter oil, but can weigh your hair down if your hair is fine and/or thin.Is there any particular reason you thought that the ginger was body-building?Bye for now,Jade

The products I used just didn't leave my hair soft but it may have either been other ingredients or the fact that my hair is very badly damaged. I've been wanting to try AO Jojoba and Aloe conditioner but can't afford it right now. Every salon I go to pushes protein products for colored or dry hair and I think they're starting to dry my hair more. Thanks for the info.
Roberta,E-mail Aubrey at AubreyOrg@aol.com and ask for free samples of the Jojoba and Aloe conditioner. I have heard people have been receiving many. Just something to try. Also, visit the swap board at www.naturallycurly.com and maybe someone will swap or sell to you at reduced price. I am sure that you have some product someone wants or needs. People swap/sell like demons over there. Great service!Later,JadeI thought I read in a magazine that ginger was being> added to hair products to boost body.
