I have decided to change my look a little. I have a same length jawish length bob, I want to angle the back up (i'm thinking fairly short), my styist and I talked about it, she brought up some points that have made me think a little1. regular cuts are needed to keep it look good, she has some clients who get cuts every 3-4 weeks.2. grow out will be tough when the time comes3. You might not think it will make the bob look different but it will.I want to change and I really like the dramatic look of the angle, and it will look good on me, I guess I'm looking for other positive feed back from people who have had this style in the past or present. The points don't bother me expect maybe the grow out, but then growing out is always a challange
Hiya Linda,> I have decided to change my look a little. I have a> same length jawish length bob, I want to angle the> back up (i'm thinking fairly short)If you like your bob, then you'll probably like this option. As a matter of fact, most bobs today (if they aren't layered) are angled toward the front. Angling the bob in this way will give you a lot of movement and, depending on how you style it, can even give you a bit of an asymmetrical look that's pretty cool.>, my styist and I> talked about it, she brought up some points that have> made me think a littleBefore I get into addressing your specific points, I'm going to assume that you are considering angling the back above the hairline, possibly as high as the occipital bone. The reason is that if you are staying below the hairline, then the maintenance and the growing out process are no more difficult than a straight bob (e.g., Salma Hayek's angled bob is currently to her shoulders).> 1. regular cuts are needed to keep it look good, she> has some clients who get cuts every 3-4 weeks. This is to keep the layering below the blunt line of the bob neat. This is especially important if you want a weightline and cut the portion below the line very close to the head and less so if you just taper it down. In the latter case, you could probably go your more traditional 6 weeks between cuts.> 2. grow out will be tough when the time comesNot so, especially if the bob is all one length. You would simply keep trimming the nape (either keeping the part below the blunt line cut close or slowly flattening the angle of the taper), while you let the rest grow. Eventually, it will reach the hairline and you can let it grow from there as long as you wish (think Salma).> 3. You might not think it will make the bob look> different but it will.Definitely will and in a good way. But I really think all blunt cut bobs look better with at least some angling.> I want to change and I really like the dramatic look> of the angle, and it will look good on me, I guess I'm> looking for other positive feed back from people who> have had this style in the past or present. The points> don't bother me expect maybe the grow out, but then> growing out is always a challangeI think you should give it a shot. It's a good way to jazz up a bob without going for layers. As usual,JerkyFleaRelated Link:JerkyFlea's Celebrity Hair Spray
